Hearing Tests
Hearing Testing and Evaluations
Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.
When you make your first appointment with Physicians Hearing Center, your first step will be to undergo a series of diagnostic audiologic evaluations. These tests will enable your audiologist to determine what is causing your hearing loss, tinnitus or balance issue. The results of the audiologic evaluation will also determine what treatment options are available and suitable for you.

Hearing Aid Services
We Service Your Devices
From hearing aid screening, selection and fittings, to ongoing maintenance and repairs – we offer a wide range of services to keep your hearing aids performing their best.
Evaluations for hearing aids come hand in hand with our diagnostic audiologic evaluation services. Once our audiologists are able to understand the cause, type and degree of your hearing loss, they are able to determine whether hearing aids are right for you.
More on Evaluation for Hearing AidsAt the hearing aid fitting, you will receive the hearing aids you selected. They are programmed based on a prescription that is specific to each person’s hearing loss. The hearing professional may make adjustments after you try the hearing aids to make sure the settings and fit are ideal for you.
More on Hearing Aid Dispensing and FittingSome minor hearing aid repairs can be done in the office setting in a short period of time; others will need to be sent to the manufacturer for repair. Your hearing professional can help determine what kind of repair is necessary if you feel your hearing aid is not working properly.
More on Hearing Aid RepairLive speech mapping is a test used to help during the hearing aid fitting process. Live speech mapping uses probe microphones and live real-time speech to allow the patient and their family members to immediately see and understand the benefits of hearing aids and fitting adjustments.

More on Hearing and Balance DisordersVertigo, dizziness, and balance problems can be life-altering. For many people it can affect their ability to do even the simplest daily tasks. If you are experiencing vertigo or balance issues, your doctor may want to refer you for a videonystagmography (VNG) balance evaluation.
